Reports of Mel Gibson’s impending divorce a few months back shocked many people. Although it was widely known that Gibson and his wife had been separated most believed that the longtime couple would eventually reconcile. Well, sources close to the actor have confirmed to the media that Mel Gibson’s reported girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva is pregnant with his child. Word is that she is already in her second trimester and she is living in a house that Gibson purchased for her. If all this is true it would explain a lot about the timing of the divorce filing back on April 13th.

Former Bachelorette Jen Schefft to Wed

Former Bachelor, then Bachelorette star Jen Schefft has finally found her happily ever after. Friends report that the former Bachelorette will wed her fiance Joe Waterman in a private ceremony in Chicago tonight. The couple met a little over a year ago and have been together ever since. During her first stint on the Bachelor she was chosen by Bachelor Andrew Firestone. However, after that relationship failed she returned to the show to become the Bachelorette. Jen Schefft made reality romance history when she ultimately chose neither of the remaining suitors at the end of her season. Looks like Jen will hand out her final rose tonight at Spiaggia restaurant, to her true prince charming!

Kate Gosselin’s Brother Speaks

Has it all been a sham? Well, according to Kate Gosselin’s brother Kevin Kreider and his wife Jodi it sort of has. Kevin told the media recently that his sister Kate Gosselin broke it off with her husband Jon Gosselin six months ago. He further alleges that the couple have been in turmoil for far longer than they have let on. The couple have been battling rumors of infidelity on both sides in recent weeks, but if what Kevin says is true, that puts a whole new spin on things. I for one have long suspected this to be the case, but I guess only time will tell. Hopefully, they can come to a positive resolution that benefits their children.

In a confession that shocks absolutely no one, Kate Gosselin of reality TV’s Jon and Kate Plus Eight, admits her and Jon may split up. In an interview with People magazine Kate Gosselin reveals that her and her husband Jon are having marital difficulties. She confesses that the couple have been struggling for some time and the recent rumors about Jon Gosselin having an affair with 23 year old Deanna Hummel have only helped manifest the doubts she has about her marriage. Kate also confesses that she feels that her and Jon are in two different places and that they may no longer have the same goals in life. However, Kate does confess that despite all the allegations swirling about her and Jon having affairs and splitting up, she does still hope to work it out with her husband and keep her family in tact.

Paula Abdul Gives Great Gifts

Despite Paula Abduls eratic behavior nobody would dispute the woman has a huge heart. Recently the Idol host suprised former contestant Scott MacIntyre with his very own seeing eye dog. Scott is legally blind and was the first visually impaired contestant to be a contestant on American Idol. During his stint on the show Ryan Seacrest and Scott’s fellow contestants often had to help guide him on and off stage. Now, thanks to the generosity of Paula Abdul Scott will have a constant companion to take care of that task for him. MacIntyre will be matched with his dog after the Idol tour.

Odd Couple Alert: Sean Penn and Natalie Portman

New to me, but rumors have been swirling since March that 27 year old Natalie Portman is dating 48 year old Sean Penn. Ironically, I reported Sean Penn’s separation from his wife a while back, but I totally missed this bit of gossip until now. Apparently, sources reported the couple making out and being outwardly affectionate with one another at the Tower Bar in L.A. in March. At the time bloggers and media expressed disgust at the couples hook-up because of the huge nearly 20 year age gap. However, as is common in Hollywood this May/December romance apparently is working out well because the couple is still an item!

The Fashion Show Premieres

Miss Project Runway? Well, tonight on Bravo a clone of the show is scheduled to begin. The Fashion Show, starring Isaac Mizrahi and Kelly Rowlands will feature young designers hoping to win the opportunity to market and sell their own lines in a retail environment. The twist, the audience at home will pick the winner at the end of the season, but each week leading up to the finale a studio audience will be the judge. Each episode the 15 aspiring designers will compete in a mini challenge and a elimination challenge. The format is similar to another Bravo hit, Top Chef. Critics are mixed in the reviews of this show, but so far the general consensus agrees that is worth watching until Project Runway returns in August.

Jon and Kate Plus Eight reality TV dad Jon Gosselin has been the subject of a lot of rumors lately. First, there was the college co-eds and the drunken bar talk about divorcing wife Kate Gosselin. He denied. Then, the incident with him leaving the bar at 2 A.M. with another woman without his wedding ring. Now, the debate over his relationship with the woman he left the bar with rages on. The woman, Deanna Hummel, denies any indiscretion with Jon Gosselin. Yet her brother and other sources close to the situation confirm that the two are in fact having an affair. Sources say the pair has been an item for three months. Another season of Jon and Kate Plus Eight begins soon, so I guess after that we will see what happens.

Paula Abdul Admits Addiction

People have long speculated that former pop icon, now American Idol host Paula Abdul had substance abuse issues. In fact, Abdul has been fodder for late night hosts and bloggers for years. Until recently Abdul had vehemently denied having any issues with substance abuse. Well, the denial has broken for the star in more ways than one Paula tells Ladies Home Journal that a trip to the La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California helped her come to terms with her 12 year addiction to pain killers. Abdul is adamant about her desire to stay sober and she talks about her addiction and recovery in further detail with LHJ.
